Zoom Recruitment is hiring Freight Handlers with counterbalance Forklift experience for seasonal opportunities commencing in November

The Opportunity
These seasonal roles are expected to commence from November and continue through the Christmas period
There may also be opportunities for ongoing work for the right fit, depending on performance, reliability and operational requirements.
Available Shifts
- 8AM - 4PM (Unloading trucks with Forklift, Scanning and Manual sorting of freight)
- 12PM - 8PM (Manual sorting, scanning, moving cages around with Forklift)
- 8PM - 4AM (Manual sorting and Forklift work)

The Role
As a freight handler you will be responsible for:
Loading and unloading trucks, vans, cages, pallets and containers manually and with forklift
Moving mail and parcels safely throughout the facility
Operating a counterbalance forklift in tight and confined working spaces
Loading and unloading Unit Loading Devices (ULDs)
Manually loading and unloading freight
Using pallet jacks, stackers and other load-shifting equipment
Supporting warehouse and parcel processing operations
Working closely with the operations team
Following all safety and compliance procedures
What We're Looking For
Experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers
Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift in tight and confined spaces is essential
Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a forklift in busy, high-traffic areas
Previous forklift experience in a warehouse, logistics or similar environment
Strong safety awareness
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable with physical work and regularly lifting up to 16kg
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Able to follow safety, compliance and operational procedures
Comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products
Police Check completed within the last 6 months, or willing to obtain one
Pay Rates
$38.31 - $50.00 per hour + applicable shift loadings
AM: $38.31 + 15% loading
PM: $38.31 + 15% loading
Night Shift: $38.31 + 30% loading
Junior rates apply to applicants under 21 years of age.
