We are seeking a highly experienced
Lead PL/I Design and Development Consultant with extensive expertise in IBM mainframe application development, VSAM and IBM MQ.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex legacy application development, modernisation and remediation, preferably within banking, insurance or other regulated industries.
- Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive commercial experience in
PL/I development on IBM mainframe platforms .
- Typically
20+ years of relevant mainframe application experience .
- Strong experience delivering complex PL/I development, migration, remediation or modernisation projects.
- Deep technical expertise in
VSAM and IBM MQ .
- Hands-on experience across the complete development lifecycle, from design and build through testing, implementation and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex legacy applications and resolve challenging technical issues.
- Experience providing hands-on technical leadership and conducting code reviews.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation and communication skills.
- Preferred Experience
Experience in banking, insurance or other complex, highly regulated enterprise environments is highly desirable.
