About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Distribution Design Engineer to join our growing Distribution Services team.
This role combines hands-on technical design with team leadership, giving you the opportunity to lead complex distribution projects while mentoring and supporting a team of Distribution Designers.
Working across major Victorian electricity network clients, you'll provide technical direction, drive quality outcomes, build strong stakeholder relationships and help shape the future growth of the team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of LV to 66k V distribution projects.
- Provide technical leadership, design reviews and quality assurance.
- Coach, mentor and support team of Distribution Designers.
- Coordinate team workloads, priorities and project delivery.
- Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Support business growth, innovation and continuous improvement.
About You
You're a technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, leading by example and helping others succeed. You will bring:
- Degree-qualified Engineer with RPEV, Chartered status or equivalent.
- Strong experience in distribution design within the Victorian electricity industry (VESI).
- Expertise in overhead and underground network design and standards.
- Experience using design tools such as n Poles, Auto CAD, Micro Station or Neara.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring or people development experience.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and project delivery skills.
This role is ideal for an established technical leader or a Senior Design Engineer ready to take the next step into people leadership while staying close to the technical work.
