An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Chef to join the growing and dynamic team. The applicant will be responsible for performing the following duties:
- Setting up and stocking workstations
- Preparing and cooking food for service in cooperation with co-workers
- Cooking to the exact specification of Head Chef
- Ensuring the kitchen, counters, sinks, utensils, coolers, shelving, and storage areas are clean and comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards at all times
- Inspecting supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
- Making recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the kitchen and its equipment to supervisor
- Keeping abreast of orders, inventory, availability, and events
- Assisting with presentation of all dishes
- Assisting with execution of daily menu, caterings, and special event menus
- Ensuring uniform serving sizes and quality of meals
- Ensuring food comes out in a timely manner
- Complying with health, sanitation, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
Skill requirements: Diploma in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) plus one year experience OR three years experience as a chef.
