Setting up a self-managed super fund is a big decision. Most people research it on their own, get most of the way there, and then want to talk to a human before they commit. That’s this role. You’ll spend most of your time on the phone and in your inbox — taking enquiries and booked appointments, explaining how the process actually works, staying with people through setup, rollover and funding, and then staying with them once the fund is live. You won’t be giving advice, but you’ll own the number: how many people get all the way through.

What you’ll do:

  • Take inbound enquiries and booked appointments, and answer the question behind the question.
  • Walk people through establishment end to end — what’s needed, in what order, and what happens next.
  • Explain how rollovers work, and stay with it until the money lands.
  • Chase the applications that stall and work out what’s blocking them. This is where the job is won.
  • Be their point of contact once the fund is running — the questions that come up in the first year, and the ones that come up every year after.

What you’ll need:

  • Real experience in superannuation, SMSF administration or SMSF accounting. You already know how a fund gets established, what a rollover actually involves, and what a trustee is on the hook for. You’ll need to be fluent in this from day one.
  • RG 146 (Superannuation) — held, or completed within your first three months.

You’ll thrive here if:

  • You can explain something complicated simply, to someone who’s worried about getting it wrong.
  • You’re warm and clear on the phone and in writing.
  • You follow through, across a pipeline of people all at different stages.
  • You already use AI tools to take the admin out of your own day.

Why this one:

A licensed investing platform with an established group behind it, and a new SMSF offer going to market. You’ll own the customer side of that launch, working day to day with our growth, product, operations and compliance teams. There’s no legacy process to inherit, so you’ll shape how this part works — and as volume grows, so does the function around you. If you are already doing this work at an administrator, an accounting practice or a super fund, this is the same job with a lot more room to shape how it is done.
