About the Position

The role combines hands-on technical work in the workshop and at customer sites with electrical system analysis, testing and reporting, and is central to the company’s ability to commission equipment reliably and keep its customers’ production running.
Key Responsibilities

- Test and calibrate electrical components, sensors, drives and control systems to confirm that machinery meets safety standards and performance specifications.
- Modify electrical installations and control circuits to suit custom machine designs and individual customer production requirements.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on machinery in the workshop and at customer sites to minimise production downtime.
- Collect technical data and perform electrical tests to assess the condition and performance of equipment and systems.
- Conduct complex electrical calculations, graph results, and prepare charts and tabulations for electrical system analysis.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and manufacturer specifications for imported machinery, and assist in preparing and updating technical documentation.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant Australian Standards, work health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers during installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
- Liaise with the Director on project requirements, equipment modifications, spare parts and service scheduling.
Requirements
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a closely related field.

- Competence in electrical testing, fault-finding and calibration using standard test instruments.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to perform electrical calculations and present data in charts and reports.
- Working knowledge of Australian Standards and work health and safety requirements for electrical work.
- Clear communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach when working on client sites.
