About the role
We have an opportunity for a Junior/Graduate Accountant to join us and are seeking a bright, dedicated and enthusiastic individual ready to advance their professional career within a supportive environment.
Skills and attributes
- 1–2 years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm
- A Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or equivalent qualification
- Commenced or intends to commence CPA or CA studies
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate with clarity and fluency
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Must be legally able to work in Australia
Duties
- Preparation of financial statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Superannuation Funds and Individuals
- Preparation and lodgement of income tax returns, Business & Instalment Activity Statements
- General accounting and bookkeeping
- Liaison with the ATO, State Revenue Office and other authorities
- Direct communication with clients
