We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our growing construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in estimating, with training and mentoring provided by experienced professionals.
3/5 days per week with the possibility to increase days if successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs and measurements.
- Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare bills of quantities and cost reports.
- Maintain estimating databases and project records.
- Support the Senior Estimator throughout the tender process.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable
- Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam.
- Previous construction, trade, or site experience.
- Valid driver's licence.
