If you've worked as an Assessor, Loss Adjuster, Building Estimator or Restoration Specialist, you'll know that the right assessment can save weeks of delays and thousands in unnecessary repairs.
That's exactly where you'll add value in this role.
As a Home Assessor, you'll assess residential property damage, determine repair methods and work closely with customers, builders and repairers to progress claims across Central Queensland.
Drawing on your experience in insurance assessing, restoration, residential building, estimating or repair scoping, you'll identify damage, document repair scopes and make practical decisions that keep repairs moving.
Most days start with a booked run sheet of inspections. You'll visit damaged homes, assess the cause and extent of damage and determine the most appropriate repair approach. Some claims are straightforward, while others require deeper investigation, identifying moisture migration, hidden damage or whether repair or replacement is the best outcome.
You'll spend time onsite with customers explaining assessment outcomes, working through scopes with builders and restoration partners, and ensuring claims continue progressing. While this is primarily a field-based role, you'll also complete desktop assessments and reporting to support claim outcomes.
