What You'll Be Doing
As a Pool Lifeguard, you'll be at the heart of our aquatic facility, ensuring every visitor has a safe and enjoyable experience. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Actively supervising swimmers and pool users to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies
- Enforcing pool rules and regulations in a friendly and professional manner
- Performing first aid and emergency response procedures when required
- Conducting regular pool safety checks and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Providing exceptional customer service to all patrons, from beginners to experienced swimmers
- Assisting with the setup and pack-down of aquatic programs and activities
- Maintaining accurate records and incident reports as needed
What We're Looking For
We're on the hunt for someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a proactive attitude to the role. The ideal candidate will have:
- A current and valid Pool Lifeguard certification
- A current First Aid certificate (including CPR)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
- A genuine passion for water safety and community wellbeing
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
- Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
