The Y Geelong - Camp Wyuna (Queenscliff) is seeking a Kitchen Assistant. This role requires flexibility with availability on weekdays, nights, and some weekends.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support food service operations by:
- Assisting the cook with basic food preparation, plating, and serving requirements safely.
- Operating commercial dishwashing equipment and performing manual washing to keep cutlery, crockery, and cooking utensils clean.
- Preparing and resetting the dining hall layout, clearing tables, and ensuring clean dining spaces for incoming guest sessions.
- Maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness and performing routine cleaning duties in accordance with the Camp Food Safety Program.
- Displaying personal initiative, following directions carefully, and cooperating with other camp staff to optimize guest experiences.
