About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Trade Assistant to join our maintenance team in a dynamic mining environment.
This hands-on role plays a vital part in supporting the rebuilding and maintenance of fixed plant equipment, operating machinery, and performing general labouring duties to ensure the smooth and safe functioning of site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate tools, machinery, and mobile equipment, and perform basic maintenance in accordance with site procedures.
- Carry out manual handling, cleaning, and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections, report faults or hazards, and strictly adhere to site safety protocols including PPE usage and risk assessment.
- Undertake additional duties as directed to support broader maintenance and operational needs.
About you
Experience
Previous experience in mining, construction, or heavy industrial environments is highly regarded.
- Licences
- Current Driver's Licence is essential.
- High Risk Forklift Licence is essential.
- Telehandler ticket is desirable.
