We are seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist for approximately 20 - 25 hours per week.
About the Role
As our Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and well-organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and arrive patients with a professional and friendly demeanour
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments efficiently and accurately
- Register patients and update demographic information as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reception area
- Liaise with doctors, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to support smooth patient flow
- Assist with administrative duties such as emailing, faxing, and data entry
About You
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a GP clinic.
- Proficiency in Best Practice software (highly desirable)
- Understanding of Medicare and DVA and Workcover billing procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
