Role Summary: Senior network engineering role supporting Optus network transformation and modernisation initiatives, with deep SRv6, MPLS, IPv6, routing, EVPN and service provider network expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, validate and support SRv6/MPLS and IPv6 network solutions;
- Support backbone transformation and migration activities;
- Provide L3 escalation support;
- Perform RCA for critical incidents;
- Contribute to traffic engineering, QoS and service reliability improvements.
Mandatory Skills / Experience:
- SRv6, MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6, Traffic Engineering, QoS, carrier-grade backbone networks, transformation and migration programs, L3 troubleshooting and RCA.
Desirable Skills / Certifications:
Experience Required: 8+ years in IP/MPLS service provider networks; senior hands-on engineering experience in carrier-grade backbone, transformation, migration and L3 support environments.
