Detailed Job Description: 1. Lead end-to-end decommissioning of Kafka, Responsys, APIs, Control-M jobs, batch processes, and associated data pipelines.
2. Conduct application discovery and dependencyanalysis to identify upstream/downstream system impacts and decommissioncandidates.
3. Define decommission strategy, technical approach, execution plan, rollback procedures, and success criteria.
4. Coordinate migration and retirement of Kafkatopics, producers, consumers, integrations, and messaging workflows.
5. Lead data archival, retention, validation, andcompliance activities to ensure secure system retirement.
6. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, application owners, infrastructure teams, and vendors to drive decommissionactivities.
7. Oversee SIT, cutover and post-decommissionvalidation to ensure business continuity and zero critical impact.
8. Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigationplans while providing regular status updates to leadership.
9. Develop and review technical documentation, runbooks, decommission checklists, architecture diagrams, and knowledgetransfer materials.
10. Mentor development andsupport teams, drive technical governance, and ensure successful sign-off andclosure of decommission milestones
