About the Opportunity
Xenco is seeking an experienced Processing Manager to join our consulting team and provide specialist operational and technical support to a well-established gold mining operation in Central West New South Wales.
This consulting assignment will see you working closely with site leadership to support the performance and continuous improvement of an established gold processing plant servicing both underground and open-pit mining operations.
The successful consultant will bring strong processing leadership experience, a hands‑on approach to operational performance, and the ability to work collaboratively with site teams to optimise plant performance, improve recovery and drive safe, efficient operations.
What the Role Entails
- Provide processing and metallurgical leadership, advice and operational support to the site team.
- Monitor and optimise plant performance, throughput, recovery and overall production efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve processing performance, reliability and operating costs.
- Support the development and implementation of operational improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with maintenance, technical services and mining teams to ensure alignment between ore supply and processing requirements.
- Review processing performance, production data and key operational metrics, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure processing activities are undertaken in accordance with site standards and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to processing personnel and operational leaders.
What You Will Need
- Proven experience in a Processing Manager role within the mining industry.
- Strong background in gold processing operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing and optimising mineral processing plant performance.
- Sound understanding of processing plant operations, metallurgy, recovery and production planning.
- Experience leading operational teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
