Join Worley's Perth team as a Corporate Procurement Lead, bringing your commercial expertise to a portfolio split equally between direct and indirect procurement. Based at our Perth corporate hub, you'll source and manage the subconsultants and subcontractors that support project delivery, while shaping procurement across IT/SaaS, professional services, facilities and regional overheads. Working closely with project teams and corporate stakeholders, you'll develop sourcing strategies, manage contracts and strengthen procurement governance across the business.

What you'll do

  • Direct procurement - subconsultants and subcontractors (50%)
    • Lead the identification, prequalification and commercial selection of specialist technical subconsultants and execution subcontractors for major energy and resources packages.
    • Draft and assemble engineering, technical services and construction subcontracts, incorporating back-to-back obligations from prime client contracts.
    • Manage post-award commercial relationships, monitor subcontractor milestones, review delay claims and negotiate variations to protect project margins.
    • Work with Project Managers, Engineering Leads and Project Controls to align subcontractor scopes of work and labour-hour estimates with baseline budgets and schedules.
  • Corporate indirect sourcing and governance (50%)
    • Develop and deliver multi-year category strategies spanning IT enterprise agreements, SaaS licences, professional consultancies, travel and facilities management.
    • Partner with leaders across HR, Finance, IT, Digital and Legal to consolidate organisational demand and eliminate off-contract spend.
    • Work with Legal to draft, review and finalise Master Services Agreements, supported by clear key performance indicators and service-level agreements.
    • Use global e-procurement and ERP systems, such as SAP and SAP Ariba, to improve spend visibility and procurement compliance.
  • Compliance, safety and sustainability
    • Embed environmental, social and governance (ESG) expectations, health, safety and environment (HSE) track records, and ethical sourcing requirements into subcontractor and vendor onboarding.
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 and support Indigenous and local supplier participation targets under corporate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments.

About You

You'll bring a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business or Law, along with professional chartership such as MCIPS or CPSM. You'll have 5-10 years of procurement or contracts management experience within an EPC/EPCM or major energy, chemicals and resources corporate environment, with a strong focus on commercial subcontract management in a large, matrixed engineering or infrastructure organisation. You'll bring a strong understanding of contract law, subconsultant engagement models, variation pricing reviews and total cost of ownership. You'll be confident using enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle, alongside advanced e-sourcing or contract lifecycle management tools. You'll be able to lead procurement workflows, manage subcontractors and clearly present data insights and risk mitigation strategies to executive leadership.
