What you will be doing
WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter and Turner to join a busy maintenance team in Welshpool. Working within a precast concrete manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing fixed plant equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.
Duties include:
- Carrying out maintenance and repairs on fixed plant equipment
- Performing workshop-based bench work and mechanical fitting tasks
- Repairing and maintaining air tools and pumps
- Conducting basic hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and troubleshooting
- Completing basic fabrication and welding activities as required
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and implementing effective repairs
- Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment
- Assisting with general maintenance and operational requirements across the site
What you will need
- Mechanical Fitting Trade Certificate (essential)
- Extensive workshop-based fixed plant maintenance experience
- Experience repairing and maintaining air tools and pumps
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Basic fabrication and welding experience
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
- Full Australian working rights
Highly Desirable:
- Experience within the concrete or precast industry
- Forklift Licence
- EWP Licence
