Natural Area Officer

Our client is seeking a reliable Natural Area Officer to join their team in Mackay. This role focuses on vegetation management across foreshores, reserves and natural public spaces, helping maintain clean, safe and well-presented areas for the community.

What You Will Be Doing

• Carrying out vegetation management across foreshores, reserves and natural areas.
• Performing weeding and general grounds maintenance.
• Operating whipper snippers and other grounds maintenance equipment.
• Applying herbicides in line with safety procedures and relevant requirements.
• Maintaining public spaces and helping control unwanted vegetation.
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues as required.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

What You Will Need

• Current HR driver's licence.
• Experience in vegetation management, grounds maintenance, parks and gardens or a similar role.
• Experience using whipper snippers and other vegetation management equipment.
• Herbicide application experience is highly regarded.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• $34.96 per hour + Super + Penalties
• Monday to Friday
• Location: Mackay, QLD
