About Our Client
Our client is a well-established business operating within the industrial and resources sector, seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Hand / Forklift Operator to join their team in Mackay.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong yard, warehouse or materials-handling experience looking for a stable role with an established organisation.
What You Will Be Doing
- Operating forklifts to load, unload and move materials around the yard
- Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
- Organising and maintaining stock and materials within the yard
- Assisting with general yard duties and manual handling
- Preparing materials and equipment for delivery or collection
- Ensuring the yard remains clean, safe and organised
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
- Working effectively as part of a team
What You Will Need
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Previous yard, warehouse or industrial experience
- Ability to safely load, unload and move materials
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Current driver's licence is highly regarded
