About our client
Our client specialises in delivering large-scale projects. They are a market leader who offer a wide range of services, from residential to commercial construction. They are looking for civil labourers to join them on their sites in the Toowoomba region.
What You Will Be Doing
- Working Monday-Friday 6:30AM starts with 8.5-9.5 hour days as a toppy labourer, working alongside the pipe crew.
- Assist pipe layers with the installation of stormwater, sewer, water and drainage pipelines.
- Perform hand excavation, trench preparation and shovelling to expose services and prepare trenches for pipe installation.
- Grade and level trench bases using laser levels, string lines and hand tools to ensure pipes are installed to the correct line and level.
- Assist with laying, aligning and joining concrete, PVC and HDPE pipes.
- Install pits, manholes, headwalls and drainage structures.
- Place and compact bedding material, backfill trenches and operate plate compactors (whacker packers) to achieve required compaction standards.
