Workforce Extensions Geelong is seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join the maintenance team at a leading food manufacturing facility in Colac. This is a permanent, full-time position on the afternoon (PM) shift, offering excellent pay and stability within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
About the Role
As a key member of the maintenance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of industrial equipment across the site. This hands-on role will see you working collaboratively with other trades to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and fault finding on plant and equipment
- Monitor, report, and troubleshoot equipment performance issues
- Complete electrical wiring, connections, and installations in line with AS/NZS 3000 standards
- Perform risk assessments and apply safe work practices in all tasks
- Assist in general mechanical or trade support as required
- Maintain accurate records and ensure workshop tidiness
- Participate in rostered overtime to support maintenance schedules
Skills & Experience
- Current Electrical Trade Qualification (A Grade License)
- Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Sound understanding of PLC systems, relay logic, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and compliance with WHS procedures
