Hospitality workers required near Port Hedland WA

We have an opening for the following roles based near Karratha WA:

• 10 x Casual Guest Services / Food and Beverage / Kitchen / Maintenance Attendants (as per Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020, Level 3)

Approximate commencement dates are October 2026. This job will run for approximately 6-9 months. You will work a minimum of 120 ordinary hours per 4 week period.

The job may have varied responsibilities and duties which may include:

• Superior food quality and presentation
• Ensure at all times drink and food is delivered to the highest standard
• Day to day upkeep of bar and food facilities to meet the required standards
• Work with park managers/chef for all bar supply orders
• Cleaning resort accommodation and facilities in accordance with the required cleaning standards, policies and procedures
• Use designated chemicals and cleaning products for each task
• Observe and report maintenance items
• Conduct a periodic ‘deep clean’ of the room
• Completing food production and cleaning tasks as directed
• Working with all kitchen employees to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the kitchen
• Assisting employees who are cooking, assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking; and performing general pantry duties
• May be required to supervise other kitchen employees
• Keeping areas clean and tidy; weeding and watering; trimming or mowing surrounds or similar areas with hand implements; assisting in maintenance and construction

Applicants must be available to work weekends and public holidays as required. You must perform such additional duties and responsibilities as required from time to time providing they are within your skills, training, education and experience. There will be potential to upskill and training is provided.

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, resort shop and a full service Day Spa and Hair Salon.

We are currently seeking Forty (40) Food and Beverage Attendants to join our Food and Beverage Department on a Casual basis. The successful applicants will be employed on a Casual basis working a minimum of 30hrs per week, commencing in March 2027 for a duration of up to 9 months. You will need to be available to work day and afternoon shifts as well as weekend shifts. Though this may change from time to time.

The key duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Take guest food and orders
• Clear and reset tables
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Deliver food to guest rooms (Room Service)
• Other duties consistent with Food and Beverage Attendant

The work you will be doing is hard and physically demanding. It will involve reaching above your head or bending over for long periods of time. You will be working both indoors and outdoors in hot and humid conditions with temperatures up to 25-45 degrees Celsius. You need to be fit and in good physical condition to do this work.
