Workfast is looking for a qualified and experienced Boilermaker / Fabricator to join the workshop team of RPC Technologies in Seven Hills.
Location: Seven Hills, NSW
Pay Rate: $54.07 per hour + Overtime + Super
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
This is a hands-on role involving heavy fabrication, welding, assembly, and modification of structural steel, composite frameworks, and advanced engineering components across infrastructure, defence, and transport projects. The position offers consistent full-time hours and the potential to transition into a permanent role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform high-standard welding (MIG, TIG, and MMAW/Stick) and fabrication on structural components and steel assemblies
- Set up, cut, roll, bend, and shape plate and section steel using workshop machinery (press brake, guillotine, plasma, oxy-cutting)
- Interpret complex technical engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications while following strict quality assurance procedures
- Conduct precise measurements, layout, and tacking to ensure tight dimensional tolerances and fit-up
- Complete safety inspections, pre-weld inspections, and relevant quality control documentation
- Assist with general workshop tasks, component assembly, and maintain a safe, clean work environment
- Safely operate overhead cranes, hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment

About You
- Trade-qualified Boilermaker / Heavy Fabricator (Cert III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent)
- Proven workshop experience in structural steel fabrication and multi-process welding (MIG/TIG)
- Prior exposure to heavy engineering, manufacturing, defence, or specialized industrial projects
- High attention to detail, precision layout skills, and a strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work autonomously and accurately from detailed engineering blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Physically fit, reliable, and committed to first-class workmanship
