Workfast is seeking experienced Carpenters to join a major transport infrastructure project based at Waratah NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople with experience in bridge construction or maintenance who are looking for a consistent project and a structured work schedule.
The positions are available ASAP, with an initial duration of six months and the possibility of extension.

- Pay rate: $49.35 per hour + super

- Roster: Four-day work week, working 9.5-hour days
- Fridays off
About the Role
Working as part of a construction and maintenance team, you will assist with bridge construction and maintenance activities while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out carpentry work associated with bridge construction and maintenance
- Installing and working with formwork and falsework
- Assisting with concreting activities and concrete finishing
- Completing steel tying and reinforcement work
- Supporting general construction and maintenance activities as required
- Following site drawings, specifications and instructions
- Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment
- Complying with all site safety procedures and requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Carpentry
- Working at Heights ticket
- Previous experience in bridge construction or maintenance
- Practical experience with formwork, falsework, concreting and steel tying
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and in demanding site conditions
- Flexibility to work away from home for the required project duration
