Workfast is currently seeking an experienced Forklift & Loader Operator to join a well-established industrial operation based in Stuart, Townsville.
Our client is a leading Australian integrated construction materials business, supplying essential products and materials to major infrastructure, construction and building projects across the country.
This is a great opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused operator looking for ongoing work with a reputable operation.
About the Role
Working within a busy industrial and production environment, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and front-end loaders to support day-to-day site operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating forklifts to load, unload and move materials around the site.
- Operating front-end loaders to move and manage bulk materials.
- Loading and unloading trucks and stockpiles.
- Supporting general yard and production operations.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment.
- Following all site safety procedures and operational requirements.
- Completing daily equipment checks and reporting any maintenance issues.
Skills & Experience
- Current LF Forklift Licence (essential).
- Previous front-end loader operating experience (essential).
- Experience working within an industrial, manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
