Make a difference where it matters most. Woorayl Lodge is seeking compassionate and reliable casual Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our care team in Leongatha, South Gippsland. As a PCA at Woorayl Lodge, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care that supports residents to maintain their dignity, independence, choices and individual routines. Working as part of our clinical and care team, and under the direction of Registered and Enrolled Nurses, you’ll assist residents with their daily care needs while helping to create a safe, respectful and home-like environment.
Your role will include assisting residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration and other activities of daily living. You’ll also observe and report changes in residents’ wellbeing and complete required care documentation. Casual shifts may be available across morning, afternoon and night duty, depending on operational and resident care needs.
What we’re looking for:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain
- A genuine commitment to supporting older people with dignity, respect and compassion
- A strong person-centred approach to care
- Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively and respectfully as part of a team
- willingness to participate in mandatory training and ongoing education
- Current satisfactory police check
- Current annual influenza vaccination, or willingness to obtain
