Woodland Metal Spinning Pty Ltd – Minto NSW

Enjoy a long weekend every week with a 1 pm Friday finish!

Looking for a hands‑on role with consistent hours, a supportive team and the opportunity to learn new skills? Join an established Australian manufacturer where your work makes a real difference to the day‑to‑day operation of the business.

At Woodland Metal Spinning, we've been proudly Australian‑owned and operated since 1937. We're looking for a reliable, organised person to coordinate our incoming goods, outgoing dispatches and freight collections.

You don't need to know everything on day one. We value the right attitude, attention to detail and a willingness to learn just as much as previous experience.

About the role

This is a varied, hands‑on role combining warehouse activities, computer work and communication with customers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare, palletise, label and dispatch finished goods.
  • Book freight and coordinate transport collections and deliveries.
  • Contact customers to arrange pickups and keep them informed of collection arrangements.
  • Follow up with customers, suppliers and freight companies to ensure pickups and deliveries happen on time.
  • Receive incoming goods and materials, checking quantities, condition and quality against delivery documentation.
  • Report discrepancies, damaged goods or quality issues and follow up as required.
  • Complete dispatch paperwork, update computer records and maintain accurate goods‑in and goods‑out information.
  • Keep dispatch and receiving areas safe, tidy and organised.

About you

  • Previous experience in dispatch, warehousing or logistics.
  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to follow up with customers, suppliers and transport companies.
  • A practical, proactive approach and the ability to take responsibility for getting things done.
  • An early finish every Friday: finish at 1 pm and get a head start on your weekend.
  • Consistent weekday hours: no need to work weekends as part of the standard roster.
  • A 38‑hour working week: enjoy a predictable routine.
  • Training and support: learn the role and develop your logistics skills.
  • Variety in your day: a mix of hands‑on work, computer tasks and coordination.
  • A stable workplace: join an established Australian manufacturing business with a proud history dating back to 1937.
