Woodfrog Bakery is looking for a Baker to join our shaping and moulding team. This role starts as casual, with a real chance to move to full time or permanent for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities:
- Hand shape baguettes and other breads to the correct weight, size and shape – strong baguette shaping skills are a must.
- Help run the Rheon forming line with the team – loading, feeding dough, checking the product coming off and keeping the line moving.
- Follow directions from your supervisor and work in step with the rest of the shaping team.
- Make sure everything you shape is high standard and in line with Woodfrog quality standards – pull anything that doesn't look right.
- Check dough consistency and let the mixer or supervisor know if a batch is off.
- Keep up with the production schedule and line speed without losing quality.
- Keep your work area, tools and the Rheon line clean during and at the end of the shift.
- Follow food safety, HACCP and WHS procedures at all times.
- Help out in other areas (mixing, baking, pastry) when needed.
About you:
- Experience in a bakery, with confident baguette and bread shaping by hand.
- A team player – we run the line together and we're looking for someone who fits in and pulls their weight.
- Happy to take direction and follow the way we do things at Woodfrog.
- Reliable, works well under pressure and takes pride in the quality of their work.
- Comfortable with early starts and physical work on your feet.
