Our client is a well-established, purpose-driven organisation operating in the sport and community sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to support their finance function across accounts payable, payroll and general finance administration.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinate fortnightly payroll via an external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Liaise with an external HR provider on payroll-related and general HR administration matters
- Manage weekly accounts payable runs, including invoice processing and supplier queries
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and support month-end processes
- Assist with banking activities, including adherence to policy and cashflow support
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders
- Produce regular reporting for NB1, the Board and Venues West
- Provide general finance and administrative support as required
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience in accounts payable and payroll roles
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to deadlines
- Comfortable working with external service providers
- Confident communicator who can engage with a range of stakeholders
- Experience with financial systems and strong Excel skills
- Experience with Employment Hero and XERO preferred
