Our Commitment to Inclusion
To be female is a genuine occupational requirement of this role under Section 126A of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). When we say 'women', we mean all women including trans women, non-binary people and people who identify as a woman. We strongly encourage women with lived experience, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and women of all cultures and identities to apply.
We work with and support women who have criminal records. A criminal record does not automatically exclude you from employment with us at WAGEC. If you're comfortable discussing this with us, we offer respectful, non-judgmental, and confidential opportunities to do so.
If you think you have the experience to do this role but don't meet all our criteria, please get in touch to discuss your situation. We recognise that sometimes the right candidate for a job has transferable skills and experiences, not just qualifications. We're happy to talk to you about what's essential for this role.
WAGEC is a child-safe organisation, committed to the safety, well-being, and empowerment of all children who we engage with in our services and community.
