I’m currently speaking with Banking & Finance lawyers interested in opportunities within the Sydney finance practice of a leading international law firm. This is an opportunity for a finance lawyer looking to work on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions, with exposure to major lenders, borrowers and financial sponsors.
What will you work on? The team advises Australian and international clients across:
- Leveraged and sponsor-backed finance
- Private credit and alternative lending
- Corporate and syndicated lending
- Complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions
You’ll gain exposure to financing arrangements involving major financial institutions, private capital providers and corporate borrowers.
The practice offers the opportunity to build experience across a range of financing structures rather than being confined to a single product or transaction type. You’ll work closely with experienced Partners and specialist teams on complex transactions, with exposure to the broader commercial and strategic considerations driving financing arrangements. For lawyers interested in developing their experience in leveraged finance and private credit, this is a particularly interesting platform.
Who they’re looking for: I’m interested in speaking with Associates and Senior Associates with Banking & Finance experience from a leading Australian, international or strong mid-tier firm. Experience in acquisition finance, leveraged finance, corporate lending or private credit would be particularly relevant. Australian lawyers currently overseas and considering a move back to Sydney are also encouraged to get in touch.
