Williams Equipment Engineering – Torrington QLD
Williams Equipment Engineering is looking for a reliable Trade Assistant / Store Person to join our team in Torrington QLD 4350.
You’ll support our workshop tradespeople, look after our stores, and help keep the workshop running smoothly and well stocked.
Responsibilities
- Stores and parts
- Receive deliveries and put stock away correctly
- Monitor stock levels so each department has what it needs, and submit parts requests for replenishment
- Assist with stocktakes
- Collect parts from local suppliers as required
- Workshop support
- Assist tradespeople with general tasks
- Operate machinery and power tools as required
- Clean, prepare and maintain the work site, tools and equipment
- Store tools and equipment safely
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times
About the Role
- Full-time: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 4:00pm, and Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Physically demanding, including heavy lifting of stock
- A current driver licence is required
Skills and Experience
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and co-workers
- Good problem-solving skills
- Well organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Self-motivated, hardworking, punctual and reliable
- Comfortable using tools and carrying out physical work
