About our client
Our client is leading a multi-stream, high-value infrastructure transformation programme of national significance, focused on modernising core platforms that underpin critical operations across a highly secure environment. This is not a standard transformation. It is a large-scale, greenfield build and migration programme involving the redesign, deployment and transition of next-generation infrastructure across compute, network, storage, VDI and security domains. Operating within a Defence-aligned, highly regulated environment, this programme carries significant operational importance, with delivery outcomes directly supporting essential services and long-term capability uplift. The programme is structured across multiple parallel workstreams and migration waves, requiring strong governance, coordination and leadership at scale. It brings together a broad ecosystem of delivery partners, making it both technically complex and organisationally high-impact.
About the role
You will take full ownership of end-to-end programme delivery, leading one of the most critical transformation initiatives currently in market. You will operate at both strategic and execution levels, ensuring alignment between architecture, engineering and delivery teams while maintaining full oversight of programme performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead multi-workstream programme execution across design, build, migration and hypercare phases
- Manage programme governance, financials, resource planning and delivery risk
- Drive programme cadence, reporting and executive visibility
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across technical and business layers
- Coordinate across multiple vendors and delivery partners, ensuring alignment to programme objectives
- Maintain control across migration waves, dependencies and critical path delivery
- Ensure delivery aligns with strict security, compliance and operational requirements
This role sits at the heart of the programme and is critical to overall success.
The successful candidate
- You are an experienced programme leader who thrives in high-stakes, complex delivery environments.
- 10+ years experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or transformation programmes
- Proven track record leading multi-vendor, multi-stream delivery environments
- Strong understanding of data centre, infrastructure or cloud transformation
- Highly credible with executive stakeholders and senior technical leaders
- Able to operate under pressure, ambiguity and tight delivery timelines
Mandatory requirement: NV2 clearance preferred, or NV1 with NV2 actively in progress (non-negotiable)
What is on offer?
- $200,000 + super + performance bonus
- Opportunity to lead one of the most significant infrastructure transformation programmes currently underway in Australia
- Work on a mission-critical initiative where outcomes directly support national capability
- High visibility role with real influence across programme direction and delivery outcomes
- Long-term programme (initial 2-year engagement with strong extension potential)
- Melbourne or Adelaide preferred, with flexibility depending on experience
Why this opportunity stands out
This is not just another programme role. It is a chance to step into a flagship transformation, operate at scale, and contribute to something that is genuinely meaningful, complex and high impact. You will be working alongside top-tier delivery teams, solving real challenges, and leading delivery in an environment where excellence is expected and outcomes truly matter.
