We are seeking an experienced Superintendent – Coal Mining to provide operational leadership across our open cut mining activities. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving safe production outcomes, developing frontline leaders, and ensuring the mine plan is executed efficiently while fostering a strong safety and performance culture.
About the Role (Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will):
- Lead and mentor a team of Mining Supervisors and operational personnel to achieve safe and productive outcomes.
- Drive compliance with all safety, statutory and environmental obligations.
- Deliver production targets while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
- Coordinate mining activities in collaboration with Technical Services, Maintenance and other site departments.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and reduce operational risk.
- Develop workforce capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
- Monitor operational performance and use data to make informed decisions that improve outcomes.
