As a Team Assistant within the Chief Data & AI Office, you'll support the Head of Data Strategy, Management & Governance and help create the structure, momentum and collaboration that enables great work to happen.

This role sits within a strategic and fast-moving environment, partnering with leaders and stakeholders across Westpac.

This is far more than a traditional administrative role.

You'll coordinate leadership forums, team events, communications, onboarding activities, workshops and stakeholder engagement, while ensuring actions, commitments and priorities remain visible, organised and progressing.

You'll help create a positive and connected experience for the team while supporting a growing function.

You'll also play a role in improving productivity and simplifying ways of working through Microsoft Copilot, AI and digital tools.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, bringing structure to complexity, building strong relationships and finding smarter ways to get things done.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Sydney / Warrane, Gadigal Country, with attendance aligned to team and business requirements.

What do I need?

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and enjoys helping people and teams do their best work.

You'll likely bring experience in a Team Assistant, Executive Assistant, Team Coordinator, Business Support or similar role, where you've successfully supported leaders and worked across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

You'll stand out if you

  • Love bringing structure to complexity and can confidently manage competing priorities.
  • Build strong relationships and enjoy working with a broad range of people.
  • Are a natural organiser who anticipates needs and takes ownership.
  • Are a strong communicator, comfortable preparing presentations, communications and meeting materials.
  • Have solid Microsoft 365 skills and enjoy learning new tools and technologies.
  • Are curious, adaptable and always looking for better, smarter ways of working.
  • Get excited about innovation, AI and productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot.

Experience supporting senior leaders, coordinating team engagement activities, or working in technology, digital, data or transformation environments will be highly regarded.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude, a willingness to learn and grow, and the confidence to roll up their sleeves and make a difference from day one.
