Product Specialist (Sales) - Pumping & Construction Equipment
CGS Equipment supplies high-quality mixing and pumping equipment used across a wide range of industries throughout Australia. Our equipment is supplied to the construction, civil, infrastructure and mining industries, and we have a growing list of local stockists. We are known for supplying high-quality equipment backed by strong technical support and the best customer service.
About the Role
This is a field-based business development role focused on building relationships with contractors, understanding their applications and recommending suitable equipment solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recommended equipment to prospective customers based on their specific requirements
- Building strong relationships with contractors and industry networks, understanding their challenges and opportunities
- Developing new business across your territory, including frequent outbound prospecting
This role rewards individuals who are self-driven, proactive and comfortable getting out in the field meeting customers.
About you
This role is particularly well-suited to someone who:
- Has hands‐on experience using pumping equipment (e.g. screeding, rendering, plastering, concreting, fireproofing or similar) and is looking to move off the tools and into a professional career; OR
- Is an experienced technical sales person / business development manager, with prior experience with equipment or heavy industries
- Holds an understanding of the basic mechanical functions of the equipment and practical use on real job sites
- Enjoys speaking with contractors and building new relationships
- Is ambitious, motivated to grow and keen to impress
Prior sales experience is not essential — machine & industry knowledge, together with the right attitude are more important.
What We Offer
- $80,000 - $120,000 base salary (experience dependent) + incentives on all machines sold
