Registered Nurse – Opioid Treatment Program (OTP)

Mental Health Drug & Alcohol

About the role

Join a supportive and multidisciplinary team helping people achieve positive health outcomes through evidence-based opioid treatment and recovery-focused care. Based at Kite Street Community Health in Orange, this full-time role offers the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships while developing specialist skills in addiction medicine.

As part of the Opioid Treatment Program, the Registered Nurse provides opioid treatment dosing, medication management, clinical assessments, monitoring, health education and care coordination. Working closely with Addiction Medicine specialists, Clinical Nurse Consultants, counsellors, psychologists, Youth Drug and Alcohol services, GPs and pharmacies, the role plays an important part in delivering safe, person-centred care tailored to individual needs.

This opportunity is well suited to a compassionate and motivated nurse with strong communication and clinical assessment skills, a non-judgemental approach and a passion for supporting people through change. Experience in Drug and Alcohol or Mental Health is desirable, however nurses with an interest in developing expertise in addiction medicine are encouraged to apply.

The service offers a structured orientation program, ongoing clinical support, supervision and professional development opportunities, along with consistent daytime hours, generally Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

If you're looking for a rewarding nursing role where you can make a genuine difference, develop specialist clinical skills and be part of an experienced and collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you.
