Full Time Civil Engineering Draftsperson.
The successful candidate will assist with the preparation, coordination and management of civil engineering drawings and documentation, supporting construction and development projects from the initial planning stage through to completion.
This role involves working closely with construction contractors, architects, engineers and local council representatives to ensure that project drawings and documentation are accurate, coordinated and meet relevant requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with construction contractors to coordinate drawings, resolve technical queries and support construction activities.
- Prepare, revise and manage civil engineering drawings, plans and technical documentation.
- Assist with project cost estimates, quantities and material calculations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants and local council representatives to coordinate project requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of plans and documentation for development applications, approvals and construction processes.
- Review drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with relevant standards, specifications and project requirements.
- Maintain organised records of drawings, revisions, project documentation and correspondence.
- Provide technical and administrative support throughout all stages of project planning, design, approval and construction.
- Monitor project documentation and assist in addressing design changes and construction-related issues.
About you
- A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in preparing and managing civil engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of drafting software such as Auto CAD, Civil 3D or equivalent.
- An understanding of construction processes, engineering drawings and relevant Australian standards.
- The ability to interpret technical plans and assist with cost estimates and quantity calculations.
- Strong communication, coordination and organisational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with contractors, architects, engineers and other stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
