We are searching for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to assist with repairing and maintaining products delivered to the Service Centre and in Customer operations. Offering a family friendly Monday to Friday roster:
- Monday - Thursday 6am - 2.30pm
- Friday 5am - 11am
- Overtime available through the week
- All uniforms, tools and PPE provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Stripping, maintaining, repairing and reporting on customer pumps both in the Townsville Service Centre and occasionally at customer operations.
- Providing informed recommendations to enhance product performance, service quality and workshop processes.
- Playing an active role in implementing the Weir Production System within the Rebuild Centre.
- Supporting mine shutdowns by attending customer sites when required.
What you'll bring:
- Cert III - Mechanical Engineering/Fitting & Turning.
- Experience in mechanical fitting in workshop and onsite environments.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of fitters.
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Overhead crane & doggers ticket - highly desirable.
- Current Drivers License.
