The Position

This is a standout opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist (VMO) to join a highly regarded private service specialising in addiction, trauma and mental health. Working in a flexible contract capacity, you’ll deliver high-quality psychiatric care to a motivated inpatient cohort engaged in structured recovery programs. You’ll be responsible for assessments, treatment planning and ongoing care, supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Regular case reviews ensure coordinated, holistic care, while the service’s established model allows you to focus on clinical excellence. The flexibility of this role makes it ideal for psychiatrists balancing private practice or other commitments, while still contributing meaningfully to patient outcomes and clinical governance.

This fully accredited private hospital is recognised for its evidence-based programs in addiction and trauma. With over 50 beds, it delivers structured, outcomes-focused care supported by an experienced team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and allied health professionals. The environment is values-driven, collaborative and purpose-led, attracting clinicians who want to work with actively engaged patients in a therapeutic setting.

Whether you’re based locally or considering a move, the location offers both convenience and a strong sense of wellbeing.
