Water’s Edge Group has managed complexes across the Gold Coast since 2012 and is seeking a competent, qualified horticulturist to lead our gardening team and take our complex grounds to a new level.
This is an opportunity to combine practical horticulture with team leadership, contribute recommendations for landscape improvements and establish a propagation program across our complexes.
You will manage and work alongside the grounds team that are responsible for maintaining the communal area lawns and garden maintenance at our complexes which are located at Coombabah, Bundall, Miami, and Mermaid Waters.
You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Business Owner to be successful in your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform horticultural and landscape maintenance works across a range of complexes
- Plant care including pruning, fertilising, pest and disease management
- Monitor plant health and identify issues requiring attention
- Weed management, mulching, and seasonal garden maintenance
- Provide recommendations for landscape improvements and plant replacements
- Maintain gardens and landscapes to a consistently high standard
- Provide a propagation program for the complexes to ensure consistent planting
- Complete works safely, efficiently, and professionally
About You
- A minimum qualification of Cert III in Horticulture with 3 years’ experience
- Strong plant knowledge and identification skills
- Experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, or garden care
- Ability to work independently and with your team when required
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality outcomes
- Be part of the management team and lead a team to achieve their best
- Current Driver's Licence (manual)
What is on Offer
- We offer a choice of working arrangements to suit your preferences either as a contractor (ABN) or full-time employee (TFN). The usual working week is Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 thus providing a regular weekday routine
- We provide a solid remuneration package that includes a work phone, four uniforms and all equipment required
- A company vehicle is available for work use during business hours, Monday to Friday, to assist you in performing your duties across our complexes
- We offer a 40-hour work week that is long term
