At Wanderlust, we’re on a mission to inspire people to find their true north and to live well, every day. From our premium range of supplements to our iconic wellbeing events, we connect product, education and community in a way that’s uniquely Wanderlust.
We’re searching for a Site Operations and Activation Manager to be the operational backbone of our event sites, bringing the Wanderlust brand to life through immersive experiences that inspire, connect and create impact. From large-scale festivals and summits to intimate regional gatherings, you’ll lead site operations, logistics and delivery, and turn partner activation concepts into high-quality builds that feel true to our values, all with warmth, calm and that Wanderful spirit.
This role is based at our Brunswick Heads office, set on 60 acres taking in a regenerated rainforest, native gardens and abundant wildlife, roaming peacocks and our resident donkey and honorary team member, Jack. We’re located just 15 minutes from Byron Bay and 5 minutes to Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby, with travel to events across Australia and New Zealand.
Core Responsibilities
- Site Operations & Event Delivery: Help shape our events calendar and lead on-site operations — solving problems in real time, supporting our team and volunteers, and delivering a beautiful guest and talent experience.
- End-to-End Logistics: Own pre-, on- and post-event logistics: operational plans, bump-in/out schedules, run sheets, site maps and CAD layouts, contingencies and team travel.
- Venue, Supplier & Production Management: Assess and inspect sites, manage venues and suppliers (AV, staging, catering, security, signage and more), oversee infrastructure, and secure permits and WH&S compliance.
- Brand & Partner Activations: Lead end-to-end production of brand and partner activations, sponsor zones and immersive moments — briefing fabricators, stylists and build crews so every partner space is on-brand, on time and show-ready.
- Budget & Resourcing: Track and forecast site and activation budgets through to reconciliation, partner with Finance, source casual staff and contractors, and find smarter ways to deliver.
- Systems & Reporting: Build the manuals, playbooks and templates that streamline our events, and lead post-event reporting, debriefs and learnings that make every event better than the last.
What we’re looking for
- Experience: 7+ years across site operations, event logistics, production, experiential or brand activation, ideally with a tertiary qualification in Events, Marketing or Creative Industries (or equivalent).
- Event delivery: Deep understanding of live event and site delivery across multiple formats, from panels and pop-ups to immersive experiences and festivals, with strong project, production and budget management skills.
- Partners & builds: Proven experience delivering branded activations end-to-end, managing multiple partners, suppliers, fabricators and build crews, with a great eye for brand and detail.
- Calm on show day: Solution-oriented under pressure, highly organised, and an exceptional communicator with internal teams and external partners.
- Mindset: A proactive, adaptable team player who stays curious, leads with warmth and care, and has a genuine passion for wellness and the Wanderlust ethos.
