Wagners Construction Materials Laboratory has a newly created opportunity for an organised and proactive Testing & Scheduling Coordinator, supporting the expansion of our concrete business in Brisbane. You will take ownership of customer testing bookings and the daily allocation of field technicians, planning upcoming work and independently managing changing operational priorities.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to keep a busy schedule running smoothly. Previous scheduling or allocation experience is highly regarded, but candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply. Laboratory experience is not essential.
This is a full-time role Monday to Friday with early starts and is based at our Rocklea site.
What you'll be doing
- Identify and clarify internal and external customer testing requirements
- Allocate competent and approved testing resources appropriately with a focus on efficiency
- Maintain and update laboratory documents for compliance and invoicing requirements
- Prepare accurate records for National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) compliance and billing purposes
- Comply and participate in systems relating to quality, safety, environment and other policies and/or requirements
- Participate in the resolution of any conflict regarding compliance or conformance
- Undertake general laboratory administration and other appropriate tasks as required
What you'll bring
- Strong communication skills to interact productively with internal laboratory and production teams, and externally with customers
- Good organisational skills and an eye for efficiency improvements to increase the Rocklea Laboratory's output to maximum capacity
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure in a busy environment
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Dedication to safety and quality
- Concrete testing and/or delivery experience (desirable)
Successful candidates must be able to obtain satisfactory pre-employment checks including employment reference checks and a police check.
