Our client is an established and growing Australian water infrastructure business specialising in the ownership, operation, design and delivery of water and wastewater assets.
Operating nationally across municipal, industrial and agricultural sectors, the business provides engineering, project delivery and operational support to a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure assets and clients.
The company is experiencing significant growth, with recent major project wins in recycled water infrastructure, including projects supporting the rapidly expanding data centre sector.
As part of this continued expansion, the business is seeking a Process Engineer to join its Newcastle-based engineering and projects team.
Position
Reporting to the Manager - Projects and Engineering, this is a varied role combining process engineering, project delivery and operational support across water, wastewater and recycled water infrastructure.
The successful candidate will work across multiple projects and operational assets, supporting engineering design, technical problem-solving and the delivery of practical, cost-effective solutions.
The position offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from concept development and detailed design through to construction, commissioning and ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support process engineering design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to concept design, detailed engineering and technical documentation.
- Provide technical and operational support to existing water treatment assets.
- Assist with construction, commissioning and project delivery activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve plant performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, projects and operations teams, as well as external clients.
- Apply technical knowledge and problem-solving skills across water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Work collaboratively with project teams and clients to deliver practical engineering solutions.

Candidates should ideally hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, with experience in water, wastewater or recycled water infrastructure.
