About the Position
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Engineering Operator is responsible for carrying out various tasks within the production team, including but not limited to:
- Operating machinery and equipment used in switch building, switch bending, and plate cutting areas.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Performing quality control checks, such as ensuring manufactured products meet company standards and specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the switch production area.
- Work as part of a team and follow all production and safety processes.
About You
To be successful in the Engineering Operator position, you will need:
- Experience working within a similar trade's assistant or labouring position in a manufacturing/construction/mechanical environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to understand measurements.
- Be mechanically minded.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Willing and able to complete a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol Testing.
