Medical Receptionist in Jimboomba

About the role

Vivid Radiology is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our family-owned and operated medical imaging business. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy medical environment, takes pride in providing great customer service and understands the importance of making patients feel welcome and comfortable.

We are open to full-time, part-time or casual employment arrangements, with the exact requirements of the role still being determined and some flexibility available for the right candidate.

Ideally, we are looking for someone seeking 3–5 days of work per week, although we are happy to discuss availability and working arrangements with applicants who may be a good fit.

Our clinics generally operate between 8:00am and 5:00pm, with some flexibility around working hours potentially available.

Ideally, you will be happy to travel between all four clinic locations when required, with the majority of shifts likely to be based at our Jimboomba and Beaudesert clinics. Your own reliable transport is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing friendly, professional and compassionate customer service.
• Managing patient appointments, bookings and enquiries across a range of imaging modalities.
• Processing patient registrations, referrals and Medicare information.
• Answering telephone enquiries and assisting patients with their questions.
• Liaising with radiographers, sonographers, radiologists and other members of the clinical team.
• Processing payments and managing patient billing requirements.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
• Maintaining strict patient confidentiality and handling sensitive medical and personal information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
• Supporting the wider reception team and assisting across our clinics as required.

About you

• Previous experience in a medical reception or medical administration role (essential).
• Experience working in radiology or diagnostic imaging will be highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and approachable manner.
• A genuine interest in patient care and the ability to make people feel comfortable.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
• Confidence using computers and learning new booking systems.
• A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach to work.
• A willingness to travel between our four clinic locations when required.
• Your own reliable transport (preferred).
• Experience with Medicare, private billing and radiology booking systems will be an advantage.
