Group Fitness Instructor (Teacher) – Hamilton

Here's your chance to teach in a brand-new space for one of Australia's fastest-growing fitness brands. Viva Leisure, Australia's largest independent health club operator, is looking for passionate Group Fitness Instructors (Teachers) to join our newly reopened Club Pilates studio in Hamilton on a casual basis. Hamilton is the final Rebalance studio in our network to complete its transformation into Club Pilates.

The doors have just opened on a fresh, fully refurbished space, and we're looking for instructors who want to help build something: a thriving studio community, a timetable members plan their week around, and an experience that keeps people coming back.

As a Group Fitness Instructor, you'll deliver classes that are safe, energising, and genuinely enjoyable, guiding members of all levels through the Club Pilates programming with confidence and care. Reporting to the Studio Manager, you'll get to know your members by name, create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, and play an active role in growing class participation.

You’ll be backed by Viva Leisure's experienced management team and dedicated brand and operations leaders, with the training, tools, and career growth opportunities to make your mark within the world's largest Pilates community. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with:

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Certificate III in Fitness or Group Exercise Leader (GEL) Certification
• Strong knowledge and passion for the fitness industry
• Understanding of fitness training methods, exercise principles, and relevant technologies
• Skilled in applying first aid procedure
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and promote safety procedures
• Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse members
• Compassionate, organised, and capable of guiding members in a safe and friendly environment
• Excellent multitasking abilities to manage member interactions and class delivery effectively
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver high-quality group fitness classes with professionalism, including setup, pack down, and safe use of equipment. Role model Viva Leisure values and uphold high standards of behaviour and conduct. Motivate and support members, ensuring correct technique and fostering strong member relationships to encourage retention and growth. Collaborate effectively with club staff and the broader Viva Leisure team. Maintain compliance with Work Health & Safety policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly. Stay current with certifications and adhere to all relevant fitness industry standards and facility procedures. Promote gym services and assist members with enquiries, escalating issues to the Club Leader when necessary. Ensure class coverage by notifying the Club Leader in advance if unavailable to teach.
