Role Details:
Opportunity for an experienced Stores Manager keen to join our innovate Visy Yatala Glass site. This is a full-time, permanent DAY shift role 7:00am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday. As Stores Manager, you'll be reporting to the Engineering & Reliability Manager. Your role will be overseeing inventory management and storage optimisation, ensuring optimal stock levels while promoting safe and efficient store operations.
What you'll do:
- Maintain accurate and optimal inventory levels of consumables, spare parts, and maintenance materials to support production and maintenance.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and efficiency and compliant working environment.
- Maintain stock integrity through regular counts, reconciliations and discrepancy resolution and development and tracking of KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and Procurement teams to forecast inventory needs, plan replenishment strategies, and support operational reliability.
What you'll bring:
- Experience and enjoyment of creating a large parts store from scratch (approx. $12M of parts and $1M of consumables)
- Previous experience (preferably in FMCG) of overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring materials are received, stored, handled, and issued safely and efficiently.
- Experience of building team capability in inventory management, safety, continuous improvement, and SAP.
- Skills in managing supplier performance to ensure timely, cost-effective supply of critical materials, spare parts, and consumables.
- Ability to work autonomously while motivating and developing a high-performing lean stores team.
- Forklift licence highly desirable.
