Our Ophthalmology practice is seeking a
Medical Receptionist to join our growing team.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment, whilst multi-tasking the behind-the-scenes jobs that make a clinic run.
Your responsibilities will include
- Greeting and assisting patients with queries in person and over the phone
- Scheduling and managing appointments
- Managing billing and payments
- Liaising with Medicare, DVA and private health funds
- Liaising with healthcare providers, hospitals and staff
- Booking and billing of surgeries
- Theatre List organisation
- What We’re Looking For
- Warm and professional communication skills
- Punctuality and reliability
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Computer proficiency (medical software experience a plus)
- Previous medical office or reception experience preferred, but not required
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient care
- A caring, professional attitude toward patients and colleagues

Whilst this role is primarily for a Medical Receptionist, if interested, there will be the chance to learn how to performs the scans and tests that our Ophthalmic Technicians do.
